Warranty Policy

We have a 30-day standard warranty on everything we sell. Extended warranties by request are available on certain parts for a fee. This standard warranty covers defective parts and items sent incorrectly. We offer a parts only warranty. NO LABOR COSTS are covered for any part sold by Cosmic Auto Parts. In the event that the part is found defective, we will first attempt to replace it, and if a replacement cannot be sent, we will issue a refund for the total sale amount.

In the event of a reorder made prior to return of the first part, we will require payment for the second part. We will refund the initial order upon the receipt of the merchandise. Return shipping costs will not be reimbursed.

Upon contacting Cosmic Auto Parts, please provide a detailed explanation as to why the part is being returned. In the event, a part is returned that does not fit the specifications listed in this warranty, Cosmic Auto Parts reserves the right to apply a 25% restocking fee and withhold shipping amounts in the refund. Cosmic Auto Parts is not responsible for items properly delivered (per tracking information) to the address given at the time of sale but not taken into possession by the customer.

Items ordered for ‘testing purposes only’ or ordered incorrectly by the customer will not be available for return. Verify with a mechanical or body expert the actual part needed before ordering. We do an excellent job at sending the right part, and would ask our customer to do the necessary research before ordering. Items returned after the warranty period will not be refunded and will be returned to sender. Parts must be received within 30 days of the original shipment delivery date in order to be accepted.

1. How much should a used engine cost?

A used engine varies in price based on the condition and the mileage recorded. We give at least 3 price quotes of quality engines available in the market based on their condition and mileage.

2. What is the benefit of buying a used engine?

A new engine from a car dealer's service is expensive costing $5000-$10000 whereas a good used OEM engine is available for anywhere from $250-$3000 depending on the condition, make, model, and mileage of the car.

3. Do you provide warranties for your used engines?

Our warranties vary from 30 days to 90 days depending on the warehouse the engine is purchased from. It will be mentioned to the customer before they purchase the engine from us.

4. Do you offer installation service for the used engine you sell?

We will not offer installation services and do not pay labor charges for installation.

5. How do I know the history of the used engine I'm considering?

We only sell quality used engines. If the VIN of the engine is available to us, we will provide it to the customer. The customer can then get a Carfax report to get the history of the car where this engine was installed.
